Abstract

One of the fundamental characteristics of the nature of visual arts is the deep presence of an aesthetic dimension; this feature makes visual arts unique. However, they not only carry aesthetic value but also possess functional qualities, thus becoming a discipline with striking potential by combining beauty and functionality. In this context, the field of visual arts encompasses both functional and aesthetic features and contributes significantly to the visual appeal of public spaces. Standard design practices often reduce the effectiveness of a space. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously integrate new approaches into design efforts. One such approach is the use of installation art.

As a result, this study aims to increase awareness and appreciation for landscape design practices. In this regard, it is recommended that governments and local communities commission works from artists by considering their emotional and therapeutic effects, which enrich public spaces. Furthermore, artists should be encouraged to produce larger-scale works that serve as monumental structures and enhance the aesthetic experience of the public environment.
The purpose of this study is to identify the areas of use for installation applications in landscape design, to present visual examples, and to develop recommendations.
